Getting Here

Whether you’re cruising up the Hume from the city or taking the scenic route through the High Country. Here is everything you need to know to find us in Benalla.

Arriving by Car

From Melbourne (approx. 2 hours)

  • Hop on the Hume Freeway (M31) heading north.
  • Take the Benalla exit (just past Euroa).
  • Follow the signs into the town centre. It’s a straight shot, and the silo art starts appearing before you even hit the main street!

From the High Country

  • Wangaratta: A quick 30-minute burn south on the Hume Freeway.
  • Mansfield: Take the Midland Highway (B300) north for about 45 minutes—it’s a beautiful drive through the rolling hills.
  • Shepparton: Travel east along the Midland Highway (A300) for approx. 45 minutes.

Parking Tip: While there is plenty of street parking, we recommend the Lowry Place or Fawckner Drive car parks for easy walking access to the festival hub. If you’re bringing a caravan or trailer, head to the designated long-vehicle bays near the Benalla Visitor Information Centre on Mair St.

Arriving by Train (V/Line)

Skip the traffic and relax. Benalla is conveniently located on the Albury Line.

  • From Southern Cross (Melbourne): Trains depart several times daily. The journey takes just over 2 hours.
  • From Albury/Wangaratta: Frequent daily services run south directly to Benalla Station.
  • The Walk: Benalla Station is a short, flat 10-15 minute walk from the festival foreshore. Just follow Mackellar Street straight into the heart of town.
